Mt Ruapehu storm rolling through

Update for the NZJFT Mt Ruapehu - THE FINALS!

Currently there is a big weather system rolling through the central plateau, I was at Whakapapa the last couple of days and witnessed alot of snow and an incredible amount of wind. This has created heavy windloading on lee aspects and some natural slab releases.

The venue was almost 100% confirmed for the area called "back hand" or also known as "fingers and thumb" at Turoa. With this cycle depositing serious amounts of snow we will be assessing ASAP to confirm the venue.

The event is planned Saturday 26th September and we will be on "aggressive standbye" to run the event asap in the weather window right through to the 30th September.
