The 2023 season will be the 9th year of the New Zealand Junior Freeride Tour!

We are very proud to announce The North Face presents the New Zealand Freeride Tour. The NZJFT is extremely proud to have The North Face as the title sponsor again for 2023, they have been a backbone of the NZ freeride scene for generations and to have them supporting our junior events is a honor.

The NZJFT is going to be a 3 stop tour this year, providing our young freeriders a chance to compete in a Junior Freeride Tour event.

We are proudly supported by the resorts - Treble Cone, Remarkables & Mt Olympus.

Its the small guys that always carry the load & the NZJFT is blessed by the support of NZ SnowSports, Volkl skis, Jonel Hydraulics, Bridgens Construction, Be Effect Brewery, & AJ Hackett.

Without them we wouldn't be able to run a tour for all you frothing freeriders so a big thanks!

This tour has been set up to provide our junior and adult athletes with the opportunity to compete in professionally run freeride competitions. Our focus is on fun, participation and safety along with promoting the incredible sport that is freeriding.

We are proud to be sanctioned by the prestigious Freeride World Tour (FWT) and are delighted to be running a tour of three events in one season!

The athletes with the most points in each category after the completion of the tour will be crowned the Overall NZJFT champions.

As past years the NZJFT will again award invitations to the 2019 JFT World Championship to the stand out skiers and boarders in the 14 – 17 age category (potential for both boys and girls). In past years we have selected a team based off results and personal performace on the NZJFT. The teams have backed up their performances on the NZJFT at the Junior World Championships and have showed NZ is a nation to be reckoned with. In five years NZ has had 4 overall European champion titles claimed by kiwis.
