Stop #3 - Mt Olympus, Canterbury

The third stop of the NZJFT will be held at Mt Olympus, nicknamed the playground of the gods for good reason. This competition will be a 2* JFT sanctioned event.

Mt Olympus ski area is situated at the southern end of the Craigieburn Range in the Canterbury High Country.

This club field is one of NZ's hidden gems with ideal terrain for a freeride comp.

DATES:

15th, 16th, 17th September - one day of competition, 3 weather days in total.

EVENT FORMAT

14 - 17 years: 1 run only

14 - 16 Years: 1 run only

Under 14: 1 run only

(There may be an under 10 category, numbers dependent)

EVENT SCHEDULE

8.00am - 8.45am - rider check in

9.15am - riders briefing & visual inspection at base of venue (TBC)

10.00am - event starts

4.00pm - prize giving

NOTE:

The weather window is 3 days! There is potential the Mt Olympus event could run Friday/ Saturday or Sunday so please book accommodation and travel accordingly.

Mother Nature controls freeride and we will only run the event in safe conditions, hence the addition of the 3rd weather day for 2022

Be warned the access road in Mt Olympus can require high ground clearance + 4WD + chains
